I am currently doing some pretty heavy and intensive reading into Spiritual Growth. Over the past two years I have counseled a lot of Christians and non-believers. What has surprised me is that the problems that they bring to the table are no different from each other.
Here are some examples of what cases I have gotten this past year from Christians:
Suicide, porn, stealing, infidelity, trust, insecurity, financial issues, spousal abuse, parental abuse and sexual activity.
Now here are some examples of cases that I have gotten this past year from non-believers:
Suicide, porn, stealing, infidelity, trust, insecurity, financial issues, spousal abuse, parental abuse and sexual activity.
As you see, there is no difference on some of the Christians of today and non-believers. The issue here is that, how can we as Christians bring people to Christ if we behave like non-believers?
Paul gives us clear indication of how we are suppose to live, think, act, behave and sacrifice for Christ in Col 3:5-16 and Galatians 5:22-26. God wants us to be different from the rest of the world. You see, we are supposed to be the light in the world but at the same time we find ourselves in the dark. Friends, don’t be a part of the dark, step into the light of Christ presence and demonstrate to the world who Jesus Christ is, what God has done in your life and don’t get caught up in darkness.
Spend intimate time with God. Spend quality study time in God’s word. Learn it and live by it.

You hit the nail (SADLY . . .) right on the head. Just as St. Paul admonished the Church at Corinth for its licentious behavior, so also am I often more wary of fellow 'so-called' believers in Jesus Christ than some who may be 'seekers . . .'
CHRISTIANITY in the good ole U.S.A. needs a REVIVAL SOON!!! Whereas Latin America (Guatemala, Brazil, Mexico, etc.) and places like South Korea see phenomenal moves of the Holy Spirit, we in the U.S.A. are literally becoming the "Church of Laodicea" which will be 'spit out' of Jesus' mouth.
